This is probably the weirdest CNY i ever had in my 18 plus years of life. Chinese New Year in January feels so wrong and out of place... Like i haven't even finish saying "Happy New Year Pull Your Ear", i have already had to start saying "Gong xi fa cai".

Day 1 of the DRAGON:

First stop is the temple opposite my house. You know what, i don't get the PRC family who were quarreling the hell out in the temple because the PRC husband is reluctant to remove his shoes in order to enter the temple. WHAT THE FUG??? Seriously right... if you say i shouldn't label the entire group of them as bad because there bound to be black sheep amongst the WHOLE lot of them but hello? Everyone of them are pretty much the same kind of black sheep. URGH.

2nd stop: Went to Hong Yi's house!

3rd stop: Ah Ma's house!

FYI, i brought along my mac the entire day to do work but the only time i managed to do some work was at ah ma house. I did for about 15 minutes and dozed off on ah ma's bed. :( Throughout all these years, my family stayed at ahma house stop for the longest. We stayed till 3pm plus sia when we usually leave at around 1pm.

4th Stop: 师公 temple!

YAY forever looking forward to 师婆's lemon tea!


All the talks about my Bhutan trip... haiyer. Only pa and ma can make it so good for them lor. I hope i will still have a chance to go Bhutan some day. :|

5th stop was to 舅公's kampong at Yio Chu Kang area which is super near Hougang. I must emphasize the Kampong everytime! So shiok to still have relative staying at kampong in Singapore. I took my Fed 5C along but it was raining so i only took around his kampong and not into the deeper kampong inside.


6th stop is at Yi Ma's house. Shortest stay at jie's house throughout my CNY experiences. I was still planning to do some work there but spent my time playing with Summer the Schnauzer :)

7th stop is Uncle Lim's house. Wah i totally zoned out and was spacey exhausted that i can't even focus on the conversation.

8th stop and my last stop was at Shiyee's house! Wah they did a sauce to go with 2nd uncle's Black Pepper Duck!

Day 2 of the DRAGON:

7 years one time, my father's side of uncles will take turn to host the Koh family CNY gathering and yes, 7 years past and it is my family's turn this year!

After. I am so happy my room can look so "spacious" and i haven't change back to the previous layout until now hhahaha.


Even my living rooms were changed just to make sure we can accommodate the huge volume of Kohs coming in later.


First batch of Buffet arrived at 10am. I love the first shift's food!

My father's side left at about 1pm plus. The second shift of buffet came at around that time. Just in time, my mother's side came.

We lo hei-ed and went back to my squeezy room to play charade (?) and it was getting bored and i was getting alittle jumpy then bro's friend came over and ask whether we want to join them to play Chucky Chucky!


Year 2s and Year 3s at bro's room playing Chucky Chucky! HHAHAHA OMG. The Om Om Om Om was like some cult meeting chanting sia!!! My bro's friend later taught us another game and i was already zoned out and "wolfed" at any apparent moment. LOL

Tehpeng left at about 7-8pm since they have SSM the next morning! Good luck guys and thanksssss for coming! Love you all! :D

Onglai stayed and we kinda talked for awhile before bro and friends went down to play fire crackers. We rushed down to play but wahlao so boring. Where was all the sparks and joy we got when we were young? :(
